Bangunan Majlis Perbandaran Batu Pahat
The Batu Pahat Municipal Council building was built and began operating as the Municipal Board from 1912 to 1951 and then changed its name to the Bandar Penggaram Municipal Council from 1952 to 1975. From 1976 to 2000, the building operated as the West Batu Pahat District Council and from 2001 to the present as the Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP). After meeting the criteria set by the Malaysian Local Government and with the approval of the Secretary of the Election Commissioner, the Johor Executive Council agreed to upgrade the West Batu Pahat District Council to the Batu Pahat Municipal Council on 1 January 2001.
