Tugu Batu Pahat dan Dataran Penggaram

The Batu Pahat Monument is one of the iconic landmarks for the residents of this district where its design is inspired by the sculpture of hands carving stone. This monument is located at Dataran Penggaram on Jalan Rahmat and was built around 1994 in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the Batu Pahat town opened by Dato Mohd Salleh Bin Perang (Dato' Bentara Luar). Initially, this area was just a field area with a fountain pond which the residents here call it 'fountain'. It is the main place for celebrating big events such as the Batu Pahat district and Johor state national days, Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, entertainment concerts and motor and car shows. During weekdays, it is the main attraction for strolling, jogging and relaxing in the evening and night.
